Tesla's Wall Connector is the manufacturer's own home charger, designed to work smoothly with Tesla vehicles. It uses the same universal Type 2 connector as most other EVs on UK roads, so it isn't limited to Teslas, and Teslas can equally use other brands' chargers.
Many Tesla owners choose a third-party smart charger for tariff scheduling features, so it's worth deciding whether you'd rather rely on the car's own scheduling or a charger with its own app. The right answer depends on your tariff and how you like to manage charging.
Installation is the same standard job: a dedicated circuit, mounting, protection and testing. Your installer will notify the network operator, and the key cost drivers remain your cable run and consumer unit.
Best for
Tesla owners who want a matching charger, or any driver who prefers a simple, robust unit.
