EV charger installation cost in Gateshead

Gateshead sits across the Tyne from Newcastle and shares much of its housing character: Victorian terraces near the riverside and town centre, with postwar and newer estates further out towards Low Fell and Wrekenton. The cost difference between those two ends of the borough is often larger than the difference between one charger brand and another.

In the outer estates, off-street parking is more common, so the typical job is a short cable run to a driveway or garage wall. In the riverside terraces, street parking is the norm, and a cable channel across a footpath needs Gateshead Council's permission before anyone can quote for it with confidence.

Whatever the property, some quotes will include extras that others don't: an earthing solution for outdoor chargers, a consumer unit upgrade, or making good after drilling. Ask installers to itemise so you can compare like for like, and see our earthing and installer-choice guides for what to look for.

Tell us about your Gateshead home in the quote form and we'll help connect you with a suitable local installer who can price the actual job.
